A big thank you to Blue Ribbon Auto Glass for their replacement services today.

MCS and ABC

MCS CEO and Founder, Travis Hull, was elected as Chair-Elect of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. Western Washington Chapter in 2017 and has ascended to the office of the Chair for the 2018-19 term.

A great team equates to a high performance organization. Proud to be a part of ABC Western Washington! – Travis Hull

Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington advances the principles of free enterprise and merit in the construction industry. They provide members, their employees and the construction industry with opportunities to succeed by promoting safe, quality, sustainable construction.

ABC represents more than 300, both union and open shop, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and industry professionals. They are the voice of the merit shop in the construction industry.

ABC offers tools to help its members develop business, highlight achievements and capabilities to potential clients. As well as help expand networks, create new business relationships, and enhance existing ones through events and social activities.

Also, ABC supports programs, initiatives, legislation and policies that promote the free enterprise system. These protect employees who choose not to belong to a union and opposes legislation and regulations that dramatically reduce your bottom line and limit your ability to succeed. ABC is active in both national and state political races to help elect pro-business candidates who will support free enterprise and open competition solutions on public policy issues.

Lastly, ABC supports members with safety consultation services, a cost-effective safety-on-demand program, seminars on a wide range of safety topics and free safety meeting outlines targeted to the hazards on your current job sites. In addition, ABC sponsors safety standard programs such as the ABC Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) and Safety Alliance program. ABC’s Retro Program provides workers’ compensation resources. These resources include free safety resources and training. All of which help members’ keep employee’s safe, mod rates low allowing them to bid more efficiently.

This peer to peer training is just one of the intangible ways we strive to deliver excellence to our clients.

If you haven’t experienced the difference of the MCS Service team, I invite you give us a try.

Blogpost3Our team completed an significant energy project in December of 2014.  This was the largest energy conservation project supported by Tacoma Power in all of 2014.   Since then, we have been carefully tracking the building operating expenses.  Year to date results:  We are on track to reduce operating expenses by more than $40,000 per year.  This represents a 40% reduction in HVAC expense and over 20% of total building operating expenses, including lighting and plug loads.  Now we are working on a new Premium Efficiency Project in Freemont.  This new project promises to exceed Seattle City Energy Code by 250%!
